Counter Strike: 1.6 - non-BYOC tournament
Stage 2 of DSRack LAN #(3 in 1)
This tournament is primarily targeted top teams in all of Europe, but everyone is welcome. There are no requirements for signups. Though we have invited about 32 teams and they are guaranteed a spot in case we run out of spots in the tournament.
This tournament does not exclude you from the smaller LAN(BYOC) tournament, but in case you are scheduled to play in both tournaments at the same time, then your non-BYOC match have to be played first and according to the schedule.
Structure
- Group stage: 20/10 (Wednesday) from 10:00 to about 00:00,
- 16 groups with 4 teams giving every team 3 matches.
- #1-2 advances to A-brackets.
- #3-4 makes it into B-brackets.
- A playoff: 21/10 (Thursday) from 10:00 to about 01:00.
- Dual elimination; BO1 matches in upper bracket, BO1 matcher in lower bracket.
- Grand final is played BO3 with upper bracket advantage.
- B playoff: 21/10 (Thursday) from 08:00 to about 01:00.
- Dual elimination; BO1 matches in upper bracket, BO1 matcher in lower bracket.
- Grand final is played BO3 with upper bracket advantage.
Entry fee
Tickets are €400 for a team + 1 manager. Its a non-BYOC tournament, which means we provide you with a computer to play on when your matches are up. You do need to bring your own keyboard, mouse + pad and headset.
Prize distribution
Cash prizes in the main playoffs:
- €10.000
- €5.000
- €3.000
- €1.000
- €500
- €500
B-playoff will have hardware prizes for top 3, best teams pick first.
Prize pot requirements
The prize pot is based on the requirement of 64 teams participating. If fewer teams attend the prize distribution will be adjusted to the match these levels:
- 64 teams: €20.000
- 48 teams: €15.000
- 32 teams: €10.000
- 24 teams: €7.000
