Tournament System

 

DSRacks tournament-system is a fully automated groupstage and bracket system designed for both online and offline (LAN) tournament execution.

Due to a lot of the possibilities the system offers it has a high impact on the rules and the fair-play of the individual matches.
In-game tracking of the players, scores, rounds and so on combined with in-game client commands add a whole new level of control and fairness to the game.
Lets look at a quick example of this; A client crash usually means the crashed player rejoins with a resulting loss of weapons, money and score – not to mention the impact it can have mentally for the entire team.
Those days are gone! When the player returns to the server, money and score will be restored automatically, making the crash no more devastating than an in-game death. Furthermore the player will also receive a fixed amount of money for winning or losing the previous round.
This means that the effect of technical problems on matches are drastically reduced, and match balance and fair-play is brought to a new level.


We will not have all the features ready at DSRack LAN #1, simply because we do not have enough time to get them all ready, that will of course change in time for DSRack LAN #2 where all the features will be ready. :-)

Looking at the features we will see this:

- Multi users with multi teams (clans and mixes)
- Multi ongoing tournaments with their own set of rules and options.
- Built-in gameservers, voiceservers, HLTV and STV relays, with optional use of your own.
- highly configurable tournament manager with
    - group stages
    - brackets with either single and double elimination
    - BO1, BO3, BO5 and mixes
    - optional seeding for all types
    - any number of max rounds allowed, default is max rounds 15
    - manual, semi-automated and fully-automated execution
    - can handle any number of players and teams with optional fill command
    - optional sign-up and check-in deadlines
    - optional forcing lo3 (live on 3) according to schedule.
    - configurable and forced breaks between matches. IE.
        * BO1 = 15mins
        * BO3 = 30mins
        * BO5 = 45mins
- Auto-announcing groups, brackets, schedule and everything on the website.
- Players get one-click-to-join info about game and voice servers to the scheduled matches.
- Alerts for players, if they are not on the server.
- Verify steamid against custodia, in game presence and team setup.
