BenQ, ZOWIE and HeatoN joins the partyPosted at 2010-10-06 17:45:21 Today, on Wednesday the 6th of October, we are happy to announce as a mainsponsor of our DSRack 3-in-1 event taking place in Kroegers HOUSE, Denmark on the 18th to 24th of October. ZOWIE GEAR will also be sponsoring our event with lots of cool prizes for our competitions and daily activities. For a competitive gaming event like DSRack LAN 3-in-1, it is important that the gamers can play on the best equipment available, so they are not compromising on gear that may affect their performance. For this BenQ will deliver 60 pieces of their newest XL2410T competitive gaming monitors to DSRack LAN 3-in-1 which will be setup in the competitive gaming environment. For those of you who are a bit on the slow side, the BenQ XL2410T display was developed in close cooperation with ZOWIE, SpawN and HeatoN, and features specifications worthy of competitive gaming. Furthermore BenQ will install projectors at the event to show our high quality streams of the matches in CoD4, Counter-Strike, Counter-Strike Source and Starcraft 2, and ZOWIE will be creating a booth to display and promote their equipment, so come by and check it all out. Additional news; announcement of streaming at DSRack LAN 3-in-1 We are also happy to announce that we will have professional streamers at our event. We have been able to seal a deal with Stockholm E-Sport Productions, who is known for their professional streaming and commentating, with no other than Emil ‘HeatoN’ Christensen as the lead commentator. HeatoN and his team of technicians will provide live casting and streaming of both Counter-Strike 1.6 and Counter-Strike Source, so if you’re not able to attend the event yourself, we have made sure you can get the 2nd best experience by watching the E-Sport Production streams. See you at LAN! The deadline has been extended to October 13th., no questions asked. After October 8th. tickets cost an additional €10 (per player). We know that in our concept with two similar competition running simultaneously it is a bit hard to see how it is an option to participate in both. Nevertheless it is allowed and possible and you are welcome to participate in both 1.6 BYOC + non-BYOC, CSS BYOC + non-BYOC and DSRack LAN SC2 1on1 + Shark Gaming SC2 1on1 Championship. Shark Gaming and Starcraft 2 at DSRack LAN #3Posted at 2010-09-27 02:47:50 Has not been given the focus it deserves, but that will all be history after reading this update. In "The big picture" and "tournaments" you will find a lot more info about the many Starcraft 2 competition featured at DSRack LAN #3. You might be surprised to see 2on2 and FFA competitions on the list, but we are actually serious about them, and to show you this we put cash prizes for up to €2.000 and €400 respectively. We will have SC2 throughout all 3 stages of DSRack LAN #3, with our main focus on our big 128 player 1on1 tournament with a cash prizepot of up to 26.000 DKK / €3.500. But wait, there is more... Shark Gaming SC2 Championship. is the name of the added 64 player tournament (32 invite only + 32 online qualification), not surprisingly sponsored by Shark Gaming, a Danish computershop focusing on quality gaming computers, and in corporation with XplayN.com, who will be hosting 2 qualifiers for the open spots as well as handling the tournament live at DSRack LAN #3. Shark Gaming went out of their way to make this a great top player tournament and put an amazing 10.000 DKK / €1337 in CASH prizes into it. And thats not all, other sponsors have promised extra hardware prizes for this competition as well. You are more than welcome to play in both 1on1 tournaments, as long as you are either invited or make the cut in the qualifications for Shark Gaming SC2 Championship. DotA is the game...Posted at 2010-09-23 23:50:16 That we have decided to let you compete in at the first stage of DSRack LAN #3 in 1. The cash prize is still €1.000 no matter how many DotA teams signups up to the tournament. We are still working out the details for the tournament in corporation with the Danish DotA site Ganked.dk and we will have everything ready during the weekend. "The big picture" have been updated with link to the DotA tournament page, which we will update when we have settled on the details in the weekend. Guaranteed cash prizes and payouts at the event.Posted at 2010-09-17 16:14:56 Since DSRack LAN #3 was announced we have been contacted by a lot of teams wanting to attend our event. After just 4 days of signups we have more than 40 CSS teams signed up! Even teams from the US and Russia. We are overwhelmed by this huge interest and as a result of our current partner negotiations we are now ready to announce that DSRack LAN #3 not just guarantee our cash prize but also add up to €5.000 EXTRA to the CSS tournament. We now guarantee €12.000 no matter the signups and we will feature the following guaranteed triggered prize purse system for Counter-Strike: Source.
All prize money will be paid out in cash at the event! Applies all tournaments. Next week we will announce more exciting news, as we are ready to reveal great partnerships. **Update** Counter Strike: Source tournament page is updated with a new prize distribution. Hacker in play, resignup requiredPosted at 2010-09-15 19:34:30 Hacker is a big word and scriptkiddie is actually more suited to describe the actions of someone who doesnt want anyone to signup to DSRack LAN. About an hour ago some scriptkiddies found found a hole in our event and event-signup controllers and were able to use the delete command without admin permissions, which leaves us with a rather blank page of participating teams at DSRack LAN #3 :-D No worries though! We found the hole and put a sock in it. We found the kids IP and blocked it... and signup is now ready again. We apologize for our mistake and hope you will quickly resignup to the event. Users, teams and everything else is as it were, so you - as teamleader - only have to login to your account, manage your teams and signup the team(s) again. **update**We will resignup all the teams posted on cadred.org in this list -> http://www.cadred.org/News/Article/120933/ so if you are on that list you can completely ignore this news posting. ;-) SIGNUP! is finally ready...Posted at 2010-09-13 17:12:58 We finally got signup ready! If you are just one person who wants a LAN-seat at the event or you want to participate in our 1on1 competitions, you still have to make a team to be able to sign up. Remember that a LAN-seat is only €30 pr. person pr. stage... We are currently looking into a discount if you plan to attend 2 or all 3 stages of DSRack LAN #(3 in 1). The discount for hotel booking at Zleep hotel turned out to be impossible to actually use. The discount only applied if we booked all the rooms at one time, which is just impossible or at the very best a disaster waiting to happen as the hotel have limited room available. You can still go to their webpage and just book rooms yourselves, but if you are able to wait a few days, we might have sorted something out to help you save a bit of money. More updates...Posted at 2010-09-13 05:19:14 The overview of all DSRack LAN #(3 in 1) has been updated with info about the BYOC tournaments and some typos and mistakes have been fix.
